On behalf of the Chinese American Pathologists Association (CAPA), we are delighted to announce the 2016 CAPA-Motic Best Abstract Award for practicing pathologists and pathologists-in-training in China.
我谨代表美国华人病理学家协会（CAPA），荣幸地向在中国执业和培训中的病理医生，发布关于2016年CAPA-Motic最佳摘要奖的通知。
CAPA’s major missions are to promote excellence in practice, education and research in pathology, as well as advocacy on behalf of Chinese pathologists. The objectives of this Best Abstract Award are to encourage and reward outstanding research contributions by pathologists in China, and to foster the communication and collaboration among pathologists practicing in China and those in the CAPA community. 1. First-authored abstract(s) by a practicing pathologist or pathologist-in-training in China are qualified to be considered. Abstracts should be new and have not been presented in any previous meetings. All abstracts have to be submitted in English using the abstract format for the USCAP Annual Meeting, which include the title, authors, institution, background, design, results and conclusions. The body of the abstract (background, design, results and conclusions) should not exceed 350 words. Submission or acceptance for presentation at the USCAP Annual Meeting is not required.
奖项颁发给由在中国执业或培训中的病理医生作为第一作者的摘要。摘要必须为全新，未提交给任何其他的会议。所有的摘要应当以英文提交，使用USCAP年会上规定的摘要格式，包括标题、作者、机构名、背景、设计、成果和结论。摘要的主体（背景、设计、成果和结论）不应超过350字。摘要是否在USCAP年会上提交或被接受展示不是必须条件。
2. One individual can submit more than one abstracts, but no more than one award will be given to the same person.

3. One of the authors of the abstract must be present at the 14th CAPA Annual Business Meeting, on March 12th, in Seattle, to receive the award. Otherwise the abstract will be automatically disqualified for the award.

Abstracts will be reviewed by members of the Selection Committee who are blinded to the names of authors and institutions. Each abstract will be scored independently by five reviewers. Abstracts with the highest average scores/ranks will be selected as the winners. There will be one winner for the first place, two for the second place, and three for the third place. We will notify the winners before the end of January 2016. One of the authors of the abstract must present at the 14th CAPA Annual Business Meeting, on March 12th, in Seattle to receive the award. Otherwise the abstract will be automatically disqualified for the award at the time of meeting.
摘要将隐去姓名和机构名，由评选委员会的成员进行评审。每篇摘要将会由五名评委独立打分。平均得分最高的论文将成为优胜者。一名优胜者将获得一等奖，两名二等奖，三名三等奖。获奖者将会在2016年1月底之前获得通知。摘要作者中的一名必须出席3月12日在西雅图举办的第14届CAPA年会，否则摘要将在会议开始时自动失去获奖权利。

The awards will be presented to the winners on March 12, 2016 at the CAPA Annual Business Meeting during the upcoming 2016 USCAP Annual Meeting in Seattle, Washington, United States, March 12-18, 2016. Each winner will receive a certificate with his/her name, a cash award, and recognition on the CAPA website. The winners must be present at the CAPA Annual Business Meeting in person to receive the award.
颁发给优胜者的奖项将在2016年3月12日，于第14届CAPA年会，暨2016年3月12-18日在美国华盛顿西雅图举行的2016年USCAP年会上进行颁发。每位优胜者将得到一份写有姓名的证书、现金奖励，以及CAPA网站上的认可。优胜者必须亲自前往CAPA年会接受颁奖。
